Job summary

Southern Cadence Cuisine is seeking a Catering Sales Executive for an on-site, Houston-based contract role. You will drive event and catering sales, respond to inquiries, conduct client consultations, and prepare proposals and contracts for intimate events, private chef services, and cooking classes.

You will manage the sales pipeline, coordinate with culinary and operations teams, and ensure a smooth handoff from sales to execution.

Qualifications

• Strong catering and event sales experience including prospecting, lead qualification and contract negotiation.
• Client service and relationship management with ability to translate needs into tailored offerings.
• Organizational and coordination abilities to manage multiple events with culinary and operations teams.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for in-person consultations with clients.
• Knowledge of food, beverage and hospitality standards for boutique catering.
• Willingness to work on-site, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Proficiency with basic office tools and documenting client information.
• Experience in catering, restaurants, hotels, or event planning is preferred; degree in hospitality or business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify leads for events and private chef services.
• Prepare proposals and contracts for intimate events, cooking classes, and private services.
• Coordinate with culinary and operations teams to confirm event details and handoffs.
• Attend tastings, site visits, and local networking to build relationships.
• Maintain client relationships to identify upsell and repeat business opportunities.
