Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a guest-focused team member to provide exceptional service and help deliver personal, memorable experiences for guests in our restaurant. You will greet guests, take orders, and collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth service.

You will maintain knowledge of menu items, assist with wine and beverage service, and operate the POS system. A flexible schedule, strong communication, and a passion for hospitality are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable).
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS system.
• Must be able to calculate the accurate bill amount and use proper credit card and money handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to your team while keeping all areas clean, dry and safe for coworkers.
• Greet and welcome guests and promptly attend to tables.
• Receive and take guest orders, process in POS system quickly and accurately.
• Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menu and general restaurant info.
• Ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience; relay complaints to management.
• Perform sidework and station setup/breakdown (deli, dessert, coffee, espresso).
• Open bottled wine for guests; assist with setting and bussing tables, seating, and answering phones as needed.
• Attend all trainings and meetings; maintain communication with staff and management.
• We may take on additional responsibilities as needed.
