Job summary

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is seeking a guest-focused bartender to craft personal experiences for our guests. Prepare and serve drinks promptly, build relationships, and advocate for the bar/restaurant to create memorable visits.

The role requires knowledge of wine and spirits, strong communication, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with POS systems and maintaining bar stock is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years bartending experience preferred.
• Passion for crafting personalized guest experiences.
• Excellent wine and spirits knowledge, plus strong communication and presentation.
• Knowledge of credit card and cash handling procedures, recording tip-out sheets, and accurate bill calculation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and promptly serve food and beverages.
• Pour drinks per specifications and process orders in the POS system with accuracy.
• Serve food and drinks and assist servers as needed.
• Notify a manager if a guest is intoxicated or rude to others.
• Stock bar, clean ice bins, empty trash, change kegs, and stock beer/wine coolers.
• Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
• Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
• Maintain cooperative communication with support crew and management.
• Unpack deliveries and stock the bar.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
