Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating appealing displays for the boutique before performances.
  • Train volunteers on Square and selling procedures.
  • Assist volunteers with questions and refer to boutique manager when needed.
  • Monitor stock to ensure quantities are ample and displays are tidy.
  • Keep track of iPads and Square Readers during shows.
  • Assist in counting and packing inventory on final day of occupation.
  • Guide patrons with ticket purchases via QR Code.

Job description

The Boutique Associate supports the daily operation of Oregon Ballet Theatre’s boutique by providing welcoming, knowledgeable customer service and assisting with merchandise sales, inventory, and store presentation. This role processes transactions, maintains an organized and visually appealing retail space, assists patrons with product selection, and helps ensure merchandise is accurately stocked and displayed.

The Boutique Associate serves as a positive ambassador for OBT, creating an engaging retail experience for patrons, families, students, and visitors while supporting boutique sales and organizational goals.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Assists the boutique manager in the creation of appealing displays for the OBT Boutique before performance run including unpacking and organizing stock.
  • Trains volunteers in the use of Square and procedures of selling to our patrons before each performance.
  • Assists volunteers with any questions or concerns and/or refers them to the boutique manager.
  • Monitors boutique stock to ensure quantities are abundant and displays are tidy.
  • Keeps track of electronic equipment (iPads and Square Readers) while the show is running.
  • Assists in counting and packing up inventory on the final day of theater occupation
  • Assist patrons with ticket purchase guidance via QR Code

Working Conditions
This role is support with cash handling and is customer service facing.

Wednesday – Sunday, 10am-6pm
This is a part-time, seasonal position.

Compensation
This is an hourly position starting at Oregon Minimum Wage.
