Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions North America seeks a Product Development Engineer for the Bottles team. You will lead cross-functional efforts from concept through production, coordinating with Customers, Sales, Design Engineers, and R&D to create next-generation, profitable products.

The role emphasizes managing technical development plans, cost inputs, and capital equipment, while ensuring design reviews and DFMEA are thorough and aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in product development and manufacturing of bottles; multi-process such as EBM, SBM, & RHB.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in statistical methods and programs (SPC/DOE/MiniTab).
• Self-motivated and assertive individual.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be a proactive thinker, and be results-oriented.
• Project Management experience a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required for data driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-functional team through development of new products from concept to commercial launch.
• Drive project plan execution to meet time, budget, and scope.
• Oversee product and tooling design including ideation, analysis, DFMEA, and design reviews.
• Coordinate Technical Development Plan for RFQ responses and business cases.
• Lead technical communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Report deviations on time, cost, and deliverables to senior management.
• Adhere to Berry, industry, and regulatory procedures including Change control and ISO processes.
• Work with Quality to establish CTQ metrics and validate process capability.
