Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a production team member responsible for inspecting and packing bottles at standard rate on assigned lines. The role involves general housekeeping, scrap removal, loading conveyors/flamers, taping/unitizing cartons, and labeling boxes.

Training provided to ensure safety and quality on the line. Responsibilities include pulling plastic, operating a punch, and assisting with grind tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment
• Understand and adhere to Silgan safety policies to prevent injury
• Monitor ware for quality defects and inform operator/coordinator
• Pack at standard rate
• Operate a punch
• Load conveyors and flamers
• Maintain housekeeping on lines and around machines
• Remove scrap from around the line
• Grind and pull plastic as needed
• Make and unitize cartons
• Initial and date box labels
• Make out unit tickets
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
