Job summary

Silgan Containers on site in Kentucky is seeking a bottle-line worker to inspect, pack and move bottles as part of a fast-paced production line. You will support scrap removal, grinding and loading of materials, while maintaining safety and clean line conditions.

The role requires ability to lift up to 30 lb, basic bottle specifications understanding, and reliable attendance. Training is provided on the line with standard packaging duties and carton unitizing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED completed.
• 1 year manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to handle up to 30 lb materials.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment.
• Monitor ware for quality defects and inform operator/coordinator.
• Pack at standard rate on assigned line(s).
• Operate a punch as needed.
• Load conveyors and flamers.
• Practice housekeeping on the line and around machines.
• Remove scrap from the line area and grind/pull plastic.
• Make and unitize cartons; date box labels and prepare unit tickets.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
