Job summary

Silgan Plastics is seeking a production worker to trim, inspect and pack containers on the line, and support stepwise packaging operations. You will handle waste and trash flows to the compactor, monitor quality, and assist with rework as needed to maintain line efficiency.

The role requires following safety policies, reading pick lists, and participating in monthly safety and quality meetings. You may perform housekeeping and report hazards to ensure a safe production environment.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand pick lists and packing instructions.
• Capable of performing housekeeping tasks on assigned areas.
• Willingness to participate in safety and quality meetings.

Responsibilities

• Trim, inspect and pack containers or parts on line 1.
• Move 95-gallon trash cans to the compactor and return after emptying.
• Inspect and pack bottles on assigned lines or rework areas.
• Monitor production for quality defects and report issues to operator or supervisor.
• Apply tickets to finished packages and ensure correct labeling.
