Job summary

Botanic Gardens in Cheyenne, WY is seeking an Events Assistant (Part Time) to help set up, run, and clean up for event rentals. You will handle tables, chairs, A/V equipment, linens, plants and flowers, and assist with basic gardening tasks.

The role requires availability for evenings and weekends, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse people. Training will be provided; a physical workflow includes lifting and moving equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with volunteers preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills including word processing.
• Experience working closely with diverse people.

Responsibilities

• Assist in set-up, tear-down and cleaning for events (tables, chairs, A/V equipment, linens, plants, flowers).
• Review event layout with the events Coordinator to ensure accurate execution.
• Assist with private events to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to Botanic Gardens policies.
• Lock and secure the building when events are complete.
• Maintain equipment such as audiovisual systems and carts; report malfunctions.
• Promote a safe environment and enforce policies. Work evenings and weekends.
