Job summary

Laramie County is seeking an Event Assistant to support all phases of event management for renters and internal events at the Event Center at Archer. This part-time role requires 10–30 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.

Under supervision of the Event Manager, you will handle guest services, setup/teardown, vendor coordination, marketing tasks in Canva, AutoCAD layouts, and administrative duties to ensure successful events such as the Laramie County Fair and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist Event Manager during all phases of event management for renters and vendors.
• Observe event management during events to ensure renter, vendor, and guest satisfaction.
• Assist with event set-up and tear-down.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
• Prepare event reports noting attendance, times, and issues.
• Interact with staff in a courteous, cooperative manner.
• Communicate problems and proposed solutions to Event Manager.
• Assist Marketing with Canva graphics and signage; support layout planning in AutoCAD.
• Act as point of contact for specific events to assist management.
• Handle administrative duties including answering calls and processing inquiries.
