Job summary

Customs andBorder Protection is recruiting for CBPOs with incentives and comprehensive benefits. The role involves enforcing customs and immigration laws, inspecting individuals and goods, and contributing to border security and economic protection of the United States.

New recruits may receive a multi-year incentive, competitive base pay (GS-9), and benefits including health, dental, annual and sick leave, plus the Thrift Savings Plan.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
• Master's or higher degree, or two+ years of grad education, or an LL.B./J.D.
• Combination of experience and education may apply.

Responsibilities

• Detaining suspected violators of laws or arresting violators with proper methods.
• Enforcing laws related to importing, exporting, and international shipping.
• Utilizing intelligence techniques to identify potential threats and assess risks.
• Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity to gain information.
• Guide decisions on admissibility of entrants to the United States.
