Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision equipment.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Conduct farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using a variety of assets to fulfill CBP mission.
