Qualifications

• One year of general work experience that demonstrates decision-making, composure under stress, and the ability to learn regulations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, OR
• A combination of general work experience AND college education submitted with your application.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws while inspecting documents and possessions.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders using surveillance.
• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various assets to support the USBP mission.
