Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or a bachelor’s degree substituting for experience.
• Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of immigration and nationality law is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
• Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers near borders.
• Pursue surveillance using available assets and interpret tracks and evidence.
• Perform patrols and inspections across various locations to support the CBP mission.
