Qualifications

• One year of general work experience, or equivalent education, as allowed by CBP minimum qualifications.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or successful completion of a full four-year course of study.
• Combination of general work experience and education may be substituted for the required education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near the borders using various observation methods.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Patrolling the international boundary and related areas to fulfill CBP missions.
