Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) in full-time, entry- to mid-level positions. Duties include inspecting documents, questioning individuals, and patrolling borders with a variety of assets.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience OR a bachelor’s degree OR a combination of both.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision equipment.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry; performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
