Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) in a full-time capacity. The BPA role supports federal law enforcement with duties across immigration enforcement, border security, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders by using surveillance and infrared scopes at night.
• Interpreting tracks, marks and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city and transportation checks and inspections.
• Patrolling the border and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels and other assets to accomplish CBP missions.
