Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks Border Patrol Agents (BPA) to join a massive federal law enforcement organization protecting the United States. The role offers base pay, federal benefits, and retention incentives, with duty locations nationwide.

Positions include entry to mid-level BPA roles, where education or prior public safety experience may qualify, along with opportunities for career advancement and comprehensive retirement plans.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions and stay composed under stress.
• Bachelor's degree or completion of a full four‑year course of study in any field from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of general work experience and education may apply toward qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders using surveillance and night operations.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
