Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or education substitution leading to the ability to learn regulations, methods, and techniques.
• Bachelor's degree or four-year course of study from an accredited college or university may substitute for experience.
• Combination of experience and education to be evaluated from resume/transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night operations.
• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.
