Customs and Border Protection seeks a Border Patrol Agent (BPA) to join its Federal Law Enforcement Officer cadre. You will perform border security duties, investigations, and enforcement of immigration and customs laws nationwide.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to handle stress and learn regulations
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
• Combination of experience and education may apply for qualification broadenings

Responsabilités

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision gear
• Interpreting tracks, marks and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
• Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using various assets
