Qualifications

• KSAOs include knowledge of Immigration and Nationality Law, use of force policy, criminal law and procedures, firearm handling, and basic vehicle operation.
• Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or combination of experience and education.
• Experience: 1 year of general work experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violations; inspect documents and possessions.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry; perform checks and patrols.
• Patrol borders using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets.
• Maintain border security to accomplish CBP mission.
