Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and stay composed under stress.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• A combination of general work experience and college education is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration and customs violations and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-operations tools.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry and contraband; perform checks on farms, buildings, traffic, and transportation.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets to fulfill CBP mission.
