Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection seeks Border Patrol Agents to join a large federal law enforcement team. The role offers competitive base pay, robust federal benefits, generous leave, and a Thrift Savings Plan.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of immigration and nationality law and related procedures.
• Familiarity with use-of-force policies and firearms qualifications.
• Ability to analyze information quickly and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration or customs violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpret tracks, marks and other evidence of illegal entry.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and waterways using various assets.
