Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) to join a large federal law enforcement workforce. Roles are full-time at entry and mid-level grades with education or prior public-safety experience qualifying applicants.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or education that supports regulatory learning and decision making.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field.
• Combination of experience and education may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violations and inspect documents
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders
• Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using official assets
• Perform various checks across farms, buildings, traffic, and city areas
