U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the United States is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) at multiple grades. The role offers federal benefits, competitive base pay, and recruitment incentives up to $20,000 with retention incentives up to $30,000.

As a BPA you will perform border security duties, citizen documentation checks, and enforcement of immigration laws while working in a national security mission. Training includes academy and language prerequisites.

Qualificações

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or successful completion of a full four-year course of study.
• Combination of general work experience and college education may qualify for higher grades.

Responsabilidades

• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night operations.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, and city patrols.
• Patrolling international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.
