U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) in full-time, entry- and mid-level positions across the United States. The role offers competitive base pay, comprehensive federal benefits, and retention incentives.

Training at the Border Patrol Academy follows the hiring process. Selected BPAs may receive recruitment incentives up to $20,000 and potential additional retention incentives up to $30,000 over three years.

Qualificações

• One year of general work experience demonstrating leadership, decision making under stress, and the ability to gather information from documents and people.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of experience and education may be considered for qualification.

Responsabilidades

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration and customs violations and inspect documents to determine eligibility.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision equipment.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks as part of patrol duties.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
