U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is recruiting Border Patrol Agents (BPA) to join a large Federal Law Enforcement team. The BPA career path offers full-time, entry and mid-level positions with education or prior public safety experience qualifying applicants.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or equivalent education as qualifying for GL-5 level.
• Bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of experience and education will be considered.”

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.
