U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks Border Patrol Agents (BPA) to join one of the world’s largest federal law enforcement organizations. The BPA role offers full-time status, competitive base pay, and robust federal benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and remain composed under stress.
• A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course leading to a bachelor’s degree.
• Combination of experience and education may apply as described in the announcement.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and terrain awareness.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks while patrolling assigned areas.
• Coordinate with various assets (vehicles, horses, boats, ATVs, etc.) to fulfill CBP mission.
