Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to make sound decisions and stay calm under stress.
• A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course leading to a degree.
• A combination of general experience and education may qualify for the position.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Prevent and apprehend unauthorized entrants and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform patrols and checks across various locations and assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
• Operate a range of transport and surveillance assets to maintain border security.
