Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violations of immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision equipment.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling borders and waterways using various government assets to fulfill CBP missions.
