Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or a bachelor’s degree substitute.
• Education substitution allows a bachelor’s degree for GL-5/7 levels.
• Combination of experience and education is acceptable for qualification.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws; inspect documents and possessions.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic and city patrol checks and transports checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels and off-road assets.
