Job summary

BPAs perform border surveillance, investigate immigration and customs violations, and apprehend subjects using various assets. Locations include numerous U.S. duty stations with possible recruitment incentives up to $20,000 and retention incentives up to $30,000.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating leadership, decision-making under stress, and the ability to learn regulations and procedures; OR
• A bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study; OR
• Combination of experience and education with transcripts submitted with the application.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and waterways using various assets.
