CBP is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) as full-time, entry to mid-level career positions. Base pay ranges with qualifications in general safety, law enforcement, or related experience.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study
• A combination of general work experience and college education

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of immigration and customs violations
• Inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders
• Performing farm/building/traffic/city/transportation checks
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets
