Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Land Border Integration team, primarily remote with site visits in the Buffalo, NY region. You will maintain and repair border security equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and coordinate with vendors to ensure uptime.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance. Expect travel up to 25% and a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; DHS Public Trust clearance ability preferred.
• Strong technical skills with electronic and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections at Ports of Entry on deployed equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and repair.
• Install new equipment and systems per SAIC SOPs and deployment guidance.
• Coordinate upgrades with internal teams and external vendors.
• Follow CBP and SAIC IT Security, physical security, and OPS policies.
• Document maintenance records, repair histories, and inventory levels.
• Adhere to OSHA and local safety regulations during tasks, and provide on-call support.
