Job summary

SAIC is looking for an experienced Regional Deployment Technician/Manager in the Sterling, VA area to join our Land Border Integration team supporting a DHS program. As a Deployment Manager, you will install IT infrastructure on our nation’s borders and coordinate with field crews, electrical contractors, and security policies.

This role requires 2-3 days on-site weekly and up to 75% travel. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust, and proximity to an international

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of deployment management experience or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain CBP Public Trust clearance.
• Residence in Northern Virginia area and ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform equipment installations at Land Ports of Entry, Airports, and Border Patrol locations.
• Coordinate with electrical contractors for site modifications.
• Track and document progression of work and perform troubleshooting to resolution.
• Maintain technical understanding of deployed solutions and ensure IT security policies.
• Work in field environment with minimal supervision; provide surge support as needed.
• Build relationships with CBP officers and Border Patrol Agents.
