Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly Bookseller to deliver outstanding customer service, assist customers with questions and orders, and operate the cash register. This seasonal position emphasizes promoting store programs and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

You will greet customers, handle transactions, help with inventory, and support merchandising and store upkeep while representing the Books-A-Million brand in a positive, helpful manner.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older (minimum eligibility).
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional service at the register and floor.
• Assist with questions, orders, and promotions, including membership programs.
• Balance cash drawer within policy; follow loss prevention guidelines.
• Stock and merchandize products on the sales floor per guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and support inventory and other departments as needed.
