Job summary

Books A Million in Ohio is seeking a Bookseller to deliver exceptional customer service, assist customers with questions and orders, and operate the cash register. You will help promote Membership and Educator programs and ensure accurate cash handling and merchandising standards.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to multitask, and strong verbal and written communication. Prior POS experience is a plus; candidates must be 16 or older and pass background screenings.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with questions and orders, and handle cashiering efficiently.
• Sell products and promote POS programs including Membership and Educator programs.
• Balance cash drawer after each shift per LP policy.
• Stock shelves per merchandising guidelines and timelines.
• Maintain sales floor by shelving books and housekeeping tasks.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention standards.
• Assist with inventory, shipments, fixtures, and store cleanliness.
