Job summary

Goodwill Houston (GWH) is seeking an eBooks Clerk to support the Donated Goods Program. You will sort donated material, write condition descriptions for books, and prepare items for online and in-store listings while delivering friendly service to customers.

This role is physically active in a fast-paced retail environment, requiring the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work with various teams to keep the inventory accurate and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort, process, and scan donated merchandise into programs.
• Receive and process items in a timely manner.
• Describe the condition of a book in writing.
• Catalog and categorize items by content and purpose.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Perform janitorial and safety duties as needed.
• Report work incidents and injuries to management.
