Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Summit is seeking a part-time eCommerce associate to inspect books and media, list items on multiple platforms, and ensure accurate descriptions and clean, safe shelving.

You will meet daily scanning quotas, prepare items for shipping, and assist with shipping processes while maintaining an orderly workspace and following supervisor directions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to listen and follow verbal instructions.
• Must have good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Scan and list books/media on eCommerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, GoodwillBooks).
• Ensure item condition is intact and descriptions are accurate.
• Meet daily quotas for items scanned and listed.
• Safely shelve items to minimize loss and prepare for shipping.
• Pull sold items for shipping and assist with packaging.
• Notify eCommerce Supervisor when supplies are needed and keep area clean and safe.
• Cross-train in shipping to assist when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Ensure book covers are untorn, spines are not broken, the pages are complete and in good condition, and, if part of a set, that the set is complete.Ensure media cases and labels are intact and correct discs are inside. Note missing booklets.When quality guidelines of books/media is met, scan.Meet quota for items to be scanned every day.Properly discard unaccepted product.Use the most accurate description of the item when listing.Ensure items are accurately and safely shelved to minimize loss and lost items.Accurately pull sold items for shipping.Purge old product as directed.Notify eCommerce Supervisor in a timely manner when any supplies are needed.Take responsibility for safety and security of merchandise in assigned area and keep working area clean, neat, and in safe condition.Work independently with minimal instruction and/or direction from supervisor.Cross-train in shipping to assist when necessary.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Outlook, and a general understanding of computer hardware and software required.Must have ability to listen and follow verbal instructions.Must have good attention to detail.Additional InformationBeginning rate of pay is $12.00 per hour.Part-time position.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
