Job summary

Books A Million is seeking a customer-focused Associate (2NC) to provide exceptional service in a bookstore setting. You will greet customers, assist with questions and orders, and operate the cash register efficiently while driving sales and participating in company programs.

You will also be responsible for stocking products, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all background screenings.
• Experience with computer and cash register systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with questions and orders, and operate the cash register efficiently.
• Sell products and participate in POS programs such as Text 2 Mobile and Educator programs.
• Stock shelves and merchandise items according to guidelines and timelines.
• Reset and tidy the sales floor, including displays and inventory tasks.
• Adhere to loss-prevention standards and act with integrity in all transactions.
