Job summary

Books A Million is seeking a customer-focused associate to provide friendly service, assist shoppers, and operate the register accurately. You will promote memberships, manage checkout operations, and keep the store tidy.

The role requires standing for extended periods, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions and orders, while handling efficient cashiering.
• Promote store programs and products, including memberships and educator programs.
• Balance cash drawer after each shift per policy.
• Stock shelves and present products following merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with inventory and other duties as needed.
• Follow loss prevention standards and act with integrity in all transactions.
