Lynch Construction, a Santa Barbara-based builder, is seeking a highly organized bookkeeping professional to handle full-charge accounting. The role focuses on accurate financial records, timely payments, and detailed reporting for ownership and managers.

The candidate will manage job costing, AR/AP, payroll, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements, while interfacing with the CPA for tax matters. This 1099 position offers remote work with in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Experience with full-charge bookkeeping in construction or similar field.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (expert level).
• Experience with job costing, AR/AP, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare monthly financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payment processing.
• Provide fiscal reporting to Owner, Business Manager and Contract Manager.
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
• Handle payroll and reconciliations (bank and credit cards).
• Coordinate with CPA for tax planning and preparation.

Local construction company in Santa Barbara, CA seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper

This is an independent contractor position (1099)

This position will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payment processing and providing Owner, Business Manager and Contract Manager with fiscal reporting.
