H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver precise bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service. You will process transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare payroll while supporting clients and vendors and contributing to community-focused service goals.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and proactive communication with clients to foster retention and growth within a trusted brand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to successfully obtain certifications.
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.

Responsabilités

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.
