Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll, and client service. You’ll be an integral part of delivering on our brand purpose to provide help and inspire communities everywhere.

You will post transactions, reconcile accounts, generate financial statements, and support tax preparation while building strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience required.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications or ability to obtain them.
• Experience with Xero preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and growth opportunities.
