Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll, and client service. You will be integral to supporting our brand purpose to provide help and inspire confidence in communities.

Key responsibilities include posting transactions, reconciling accounts, generating financial statements, and preparing payroll while maintaining confidentiality and high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National Bookkeeping Association certifications, or the ability to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.
