Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll, and client service. You will post transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare payroll to support client engagement and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern bookkeeping and payroll processes.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Ability to interpret instructions, policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.
