H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll and client service. You will handle routine transactions, reconciliation, and monthly statements for client accounts.

You will work with diverse clients, ensure compliance with GAAP, manage confidential data with discretion, and support client retention and growth opportunities through accurate reporting and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications, or ability to obtain them.
• 1–3 years bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles & procedures (GAAP).
• Ability to interpret and apply instructions, policies and regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong analytical skills and eye for detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task independently.

Responsabilités

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.
