Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver bookkeeping, payroll, and exceptional client service in Kentucky. The role includes posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing tax forms such as 1099s and W-2s.

You will interact with clients and vendors, supporting retention and growth opportunities while ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience with bookkeeping and payroll processing following GAAP.
• Knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and growth opportunities.
