H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver precise bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service. You’ll support our brand mission to provide help and inspire communities everywhere.

You will post transactions, balance accounts, prepare payroll, and generate tax documents while liaising with clients and vendors to foster retention and growth. This role emphasizes accuracy, discretion, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Ability to understand and apply complex instructions, policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.
