VRX, Inc., established in 2006 by Noelle Ibrahim, is a woman-owned professional services firm in Texas offering turnkey services in civil engineering, bridge and environmental services. The Jr Accounting Bookkeeper will create financial transactions, post to journals, reconcile accounts, and generate reports to support leadership and compliance.

A Bachelor’s in accounting is preferred and five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience is required, with Ajera and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred).
• GAAP knowledge required.
• Minimum five years responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
• Advanced knowledge of Ajera and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of payroll regulatory requirements and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Post accounting transactions from source documents to journals or software.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
• Assist with tax return preparation and 1099s/W-2s processing.
• Handle payroll and related payroll reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
